Delay out of leadership but still seeking powerful slot
Randy "Duke" Cunningham has confessed to taking bribes and now Tom Delay is trying to take his place on the House Appropriations Committee . This is sort of like finding a cop on the take and reassigning them to the evidence room for punishment.

maybe with the minimum credit card payments jumping up people might just be cutting down on expenses that may reflect on their credit report, hence the reason they are going toward prepay cellphones. not to mention prepay rates are slowly catching up with contract cell services, even though the service is still horrible.
As for massive purchases at once, could be for corporate use or something, if it is terrorism-linked I find it funny they bought em at Wal Mart
Still Alito is applying for a job where his personal views could affect every single person globaly. I'd say giving up personal info should be a required part of the application process, and besides Alito said he didnt even care if Kennedy got ahold of the records. HE GAVE HIM PERMISSION.
Security Guards and Casino Workers have extensive background checks that affect their employment, yet we don't question this.
Granted, I've yet to hear a casino or security worker not get hired for being part of a private organization, but in a nation where we dont have to be told why we're not hired, wouldn't be surprised.
As far as your poll I submit this, I have no idea your source, or who they have been interviewing, but I seriously doubt that poll was taken BEFORE Bush started spewing this rhetoric about "I wanna know who Al Queida is talking to in my country" crap, we all know that the American public will eat what he feeds them until he's shown to be wrong.
