the abortion debate as discussed on the air this morning.

now let me arue uninterrupted and maybe you folks can straighten this out:

  1. Life is a continuous process -Lefty and mike from Fairway
  2. the question is when does the new life receive rights and responsibilities- Socialist Keith

Keith would submit to you that there are no rights and /or priveleges held by a cellular mass known as a fetus. In fact, He would add that the baby that does eventually get born( that is until we see one of these mutant births that Lefty has concluded happens from time to time) still has no rights. Now I would like to point out that we as adults are assigned the responsibility( by law) to care for these rightless individuals. Now I am no leggal scholar, but I'll bet that we have to care for them because they are alive and as a society we say you can't bring that life into the world and then just leave it in a dumpster. We do, as a somewhat rational society, provide a means whereby to discharge that adult responsibility :

  1. a new mother can just takae a newborn to several safe spots and just leave him with no questions asked
  2. i could right now decide that i don't want my kids at 9,2, and 1. If i take them to the appropriate place to discharge them (an adoption agency, e.g.) then I will suffer no penalty.

We as a society have decided that we won't force one entity to remain responsible for another. But we do require that they et out from under these responsibility in an appropriate way. this is why I would be okay with saying if you don't want the child and it is viable (however science may define it) then you have to undergo the procedure to deliver the child. Now this wld certainly be a high cost for the society (atleast early on) but that's life.

Where does one begin here, MTJ? A year or so ago, Russ properly name socialist Keith a psuedointellectual over the air on your show. He has as much credibility as he does character (being none, of course). You properly pointed out that Anthony, who poses as if he is a scientist, has a backround in science of "reading a few science magazines" while on the toilet. Anthony is a bullshit artist...no more, no less.

Both these men, and I use the word liberally, are nothing more than arrogant fools. They say they have no god...but reveal that they themselves are their gods. They say they have no religion...but they constantly quote the book of modern scientific opinion while introducing it as fact.

Now, to get to the point at hand. By the definition of the psuedointellectual, personhood is "granted by the government," not inherent which revealed the twisted mind of the socialist referring, in his religion, to the book of state. Well, as you wisely pointed out, that did not work out too well for many in America and abroad.

Going further, when the psuedointellectual further qualifies when life begins, as if he has the right, he reveals all. By his definition, you have to be 18 years of age to be considered a life, if not older. Then again, how can you debate someone who speaks over you as he did last night? I cannot imagine treating a friend so disrespectfully as he did to you last night. Then again, I have no expectation of character from a white lib trapped inside a black man's body like socialist Keith. This man is as relevant as the current democrat party.

What disturbs me, MTJ, is not the thoughts of the lowest form of man, the white lib. What disturbs me is your take on the abortion issue. It is obvious the child is alive in the womb. We need not source any scientific magazine on a toilet to see the obvious. Knowing that the child is alive and well inside the womb, you will not consider the murder of that baby as murder in the first degree, which it clearly is. You stand by, knowing deep to your core that it is murder and remain silent. Which is worse: knowing slavery is a terrible and remaining silent or thinking that slavery isn't terrible because the slaves don't fit YOUR definition of personhood?

I agree, Big Dog. The worst part about that is how openly disrespectful socialist white lib is to MTJ. Talking over MTJ and mocking MTJ as if it was the socialist white lib files. According to certain peoples' definitions of torture, having that bastard on the MTJ should should qualify.

Oh, well. If you are 20 and a conservative, you have no heart. If you are 40 and are not a conservative, you have no brain. So, MTJ only has a year or so left. I can't wait.

Socialist white lib is too good for this web site. Just ask him.

Caficho, don't end your sentences in prepositions. It reveals your intellect.

Big Dog, you can't reason with the unreasonable. Only if lib politicians were as honest as Cafagho, we might actually get conservatives elected...like in South Dakota.

Technology has made it nearly impossible to talk about the fetus as just a clump of cells. Medical euphemisms like “cardiac activity” just don’t fly when patients can see a heartbeat with a sonogram at six weeks into a pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Keyes plans to develop her own “heartssite.com” where women can write messages to the baby they never had.

Me: That is sick!

You know what is funny about Keith and Anthony is that black dems are what 90 percent religious; let's not even mention Africa. Many African countries have made being gay a crime; Muslim countries have the same laws. And lastly let's look at Hispanics coming to this country: 80-90 percent Catholic.

Black women are more than 3 times as likely as white women to have an abortion, and Hispanic women are 2 1/2 times as likely.[6]

There is no doubt that Keith is a self hating black man.

Has anyone noticed how the enemy (libs) have stopped talking about the bad economy? I wonder why that is.

Has anyone noticed how the gays were dropped like a hot potato since Kerry's defeat in 2004?

What goes next?

First off some idiot singed my name to the third post above this post. I never used such kiddie language. Hopefully MikeT will delete said post. Posting such garabage in my name is childish.

you guys crack me up.

There is no scientific principle that is going to grant a right of any sort. Science as I understand it is just going to make an observation, form a hyptohesis, do experiments, and identify a fact or form a theory and work with that until it is itself subjected to the whole process and refuted (it being the fact and/or theory). Not to be disrespectful but this fight is going way down Tangent Lane.
The real question is who or what gets rights. to avoid a theologic arguement let us agree that rihgts are determined by the society. at the very least you have to accept that the enforcemnet of those rights is in the hand of society. now society has deemed a cat has the right to a life free of torture from people like george. the next step, as I see it, is to determine what entities get which rights.

Rights are given by the ones' who control the gold: they can be taken away by the same people. Never forget that we are all slaves. We have no real rights except maybe the right to kill yourself, but even that right is getting a bit iffy.

update on last weeks discussion :
EMILY WAGSTER PETTUS
Associated Press
JACKSON, Miss. - Republican Gov. Haley Barbour said Wednesday that he likely would sign a bill to ban most abortions in Mississippi if it's approved by lawmakers.
The state already has some of the strictest abortion laws in the nation. The bill that passed the House Public Health Committee on Tuesday would allow abortion only to save the pregnant woman's life. It would make no exception in cases of rape or incest.
South Dakota lawmakers passed a similar bill last week that was intended to provoke a court showdown over the legality of abortion.
Responding to questions about whether he'd sign a bill with no exceptions for rape or incest, Barbour said: "It hasn't gotten to my desk yet. When one gets there, we'll find out, and I suspect I'll sign it. But I would certainly rather it come to my desk with an exception for rape and incest. I think that's consistent with the opinion of the vast majority of Mississippians and Americans."
The bill goes to the full House, which could vote next week. Speaker Billy McCoy, D-Rienzi, said he believes it will pass the House and move to the Senate.

Hey, MikeT
This is for you:

What is the Singularity? Sometime in the next few years or decades, humanity will become capable of surpassing the upper limit on intelligence that has held since the rise of the human species. We will become capable of technologically creating smarter-than-human intelligence, perhaps through enhancement of the human brain, direct links between computers and the brain, or Artificial Intelligence. This event is called the "Singularity" by analogy with the singularity at the center of a black hole - just as our current model of physics breaks down when it attempts to describe the center of a black hole, our model of the future breaks down once the future contains smarter-than-human minds. Since technology is the product of cognition, the Singularity is an effect that snowballs once it occurs - the first smart minds can create smarter minds, and smarter minds can produce still smarter minds.

Russ, let's hope that you are wrong. I wonder what that would do to our economy. Who would work at a gas station if everyone could "jack in" and be a doctor? There would be no competition... only that old marxist line the libs use of the haves and the have nots. What would happen to prices? Who would do what jobs? Would the cyborgs enslave the "normals"? or would the "normals" be enslaving the mere human?

I HATE YOU RUSS!!!

I guess you could say that abortion leads to less leftists. No, we'll keep that a secret.

Well, second Mike, if the Singularity happens in our life time it will shatter the old paradigm and usher in a new age. I do agree with MikeT that the elites will try keeping it to themselves and will use it to enhance themselves and their children but that is and has been happening for centuries. The only hope for us Normals is a few rouge geniuses to release the benefits to the world much like the guy that wrote Linux. Even if the Singularity doesn’t happen in the next 100 years there is no doubt that we are all going to still see many advances in our life times.
