In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

How unfortunate star child, that you didn't listen. you are blinded by the fact that the only place I could find the clip was on prison planet. Had you listened a little more carefully you might have heard the congresswoman say that the money went missing in 1999 and 2000. This was before Bush was in the White House. This is a question for the GOVERNMENT not the politicians.
I understand that we have to have secret expenditures but with the everincreasing tax burden on us and our children, shouldn't we the people assert our right to have a little more say in these expenditures.
Fact is this, You have money missing from the Dep o Def, you have other money being thrown at special interest (halib) via the Dep o Def, and other money being mishandled by FEMA, who is run by....
Sounds like our Defense Department needs a few more Billion Dollar spending approvals shuffled through the Congress.
And then we have people like Star Child who questions when ONE GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL raises questions about missing millions.
AND PEOPLE WONDER WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA.
