This doesn't surprise me one bit. I remember a guest on George Noory's show talking about how traces of drugs were either found in fish or the waters around the North Pole.
Frankly in my opinion these companies need to be BANNED from dumping the drugs. Also the sewage treatment plants need to find some way to filter this crap out and send it back to the companies at cost.
of course it's up to Big Pharma to figure out a closed system in which this can actually be biodegraded. If not that then they need to burn it or something.

I find it funny that libs still exist. If your government cared about the poor, or anyone for that matter, would our water be allowed to get to such a condition. Let me guess...its Bush's fault.

Drew... I wanted to point this out to you. A company with which I have worked included seven corporations. One of the corporations had three subsidiaries. These subsidiaries were non-for-profits (NFP's) while providing the exact same service as the for-profit portion of the business. These NFP's also received federal grant money and enjoyed tax-exempt status. So, leaving out the legalistics of it all, we have a profitable entity receiving grant money and enjoying a tax shelter because certain portions of the company fall under this NFP umbrella. What I am trying to say is that the NFP system is being used and abused. I don't fault companies for abusing the system...that just means they have good tax people. On the other hand, I would like you to consider moderation of your pro-NFP thinking.

Mike these not for profits should not receive that grant money to begin with. They should only get the tax exempt status since they're not for profit to begin with. Also their finances should be completely separate from the for profit companies.

The reason I'm so big on Not For Profit is government contracting in regards to standards like water, Utilities and areas that need NO R&D budget. Basically industries that don't need to be for profit to fund that sector. With some government services that can easily follow this it's always either government or a For-Profit Corporation, never a NFP. NFP's more then either really cut costs. I mean the government one will be bloated with too many people you can easily cut. The FP Corp. will be slashed to the bone dangerously so to raise profits for shareholders but the end cost will be more expensive or the same as government.

As it stands I think if there were enough Not for Profit Corporations offering Organic food especially in store in regards to Community Mercantile the price hike wouldn't be so sharp. I mean in comparison to regular food in general. Of course I'm referring to that being the Merc's own brand, going through their distribution, farms, etc.

Oh and I don't believe the Government OR Big Business gives a shit about you or me. They'll stab each of us in the back whenever they get the chance. You and I both know right now they're colluding with each other which is even worse. No Free Market exists right now quite frankly or Hemp wouldn't be banned for one. What Patrick said about cheaper Solar Cell costs would happen as well. Instead these scum use the government to place more restrictions on things to close the market more and protect their profit margin. I'd go so far as to argue it's a Bully Pulpit now. I mean the Federal Government.

Its time for the political commentator draft.

I'll trade you Glen Beck for Alan Colmes.
