Principal blames black students for school's low scores

A principal at an East Texas middle school has been reprimanded for blaming the school’s poor test scores on Black students.

Now, this story doesn't give me all the details, but if he called the entire black population down and they weren't universally on the bottom of the entire school's scores, well he's a dumb ass. If he called every student in the bottom x percent, and they happened to be black, that's one thing. But to lay the blame down on black kids is reckless and counter to solving the problems.

Since he was reprimanded, I'm going to guess he didn't give himself that political cover. Although I could be wrong.

Intent is hard to prove unless he has a history. I believe he was like in a coach talk at halftime phase or some shit; if it was an all black basketball team getting the same treatment by the principal. Nothing would be said. Was his targeted groupspeech wise. VERY UNWISE ABSOLUTELY, but exactly how it damages 7th and 8th graders psychi, unless that hate whiteee! demon already has its grips.

In a way i could see the misunderstood intentions. Perhaps those 'target students' were singled out by score, then grouped together and they happened to be all black.

How come his staff of black teachers didnt tell Segers this is a bad idea?

Much to do about nothing IMHO.

Maybe what should have happend is that Mr Seggars should have got the parents, teachers and kids together to setup a strategy to raise the test scores of the school.

Education is taken for granted in our country today. Teacher's are under attack and have a thankless job of educating and a lot of times parenting these kids and not getting backup from the community.

It is a sad state of affairs...

"Maybe what should have happend is that Mr Seggars should have got the parents, teachers and kids together to setup a strategy to raise the test scores of the school."

We dont know thier time constraints and deadlines from a practice test to the real deal. Their is alot we dont know, thats for sure.

And yet parents will always find an excuse to exclude themselves from their kids education. The same parent demonizing the principal should be more involved in their childrens school life.

I mean you back an educator into a standardised corner and can get little to no involvement from the parents, what do we expect. Im giving him a pass being UNWISE, teachers inclusive. It seems you are too John.

Id like to see the letter of reprimand.

I'm going to agree with you two and say he should STILL get all of the students in the bottom 25% aOng with Thierry parents and develop strategies to raise the level of learning.
As for white devils and middle passages, it's unfortunate that when we actually have a place of common ground to work from( not a regular occurrence between John and BD) you choose, anonymously, to throw crap rather than add to the discussion.

Congressman Charles A. Lindbergh, Sr. revealed the Bankers Manifesto of 1892 to the U.S. Congress somewhere between 1907 and 1917...

"We (the bankers) must proceed with caution and guard every move made, for the lower order of people are already showing signs of restless commotion. Prudence will therefore show a policy of apparently yielding to the popular will until our plans are so far consummated that we can declare our designs without fear of any organized resistance.
Organizations in the United States should be carefully watched by our trusted men, and we must take immediate steps to control these organizations in our interest or disrupt them.
At the coming Omaha convention to be held July 4, 1892, our men must attend and direct its movement or else there will be set on foot such antagonism to our designs as may require force to overcome.
This at the present time would be premature. We are not yet ready for such a crisis. Capital must protect itself in every possible manner through combination (conspiracy) and legislation.
The courts must be called to our aid, debts must be collected, bonds and mortgages foreclosed as rapidly as possible.
When, through the process of law, the common people have lost their homes, they will be more tractable and easily governed through the influence of the strong arm
of the government applied to a central power of imperial wealth under the control of the leading financiers.
People without homes will not quarrel with their leaders. History repeats itself in regular cycles. This truth is well known among our principal men who are engaged in forming an imperialism of the world. While they are doing this, the people must be kept in a state of political antagonism.
The question of tariff reform must be urged through the organization known as the Democratic Party, and the question of protection with the reciprocity must be forced to view through the Republican Party.
By thus dividing voters, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting over questions of no importance to us, except as teachers to the common herd. Thus, by discrete actions, we can secure all that has been so generously planned and successfully accomplished."

Besides the destruction of entire cultures and unique ways of life, world government is just bad from an engineering standpoint, there is no true redundancy in singular rule. Not to mention that the wealthiest people would directly rule over everybody else on the planet and the wealthiest people are also some of the most cold-hearted, they have to be in order to hold on to that much loot.
It does not benefit the common (wo)man to be dependent upon people halfway across the world for everyday goods that can be easily produced in their own country. And it would mean no more great experiments in freedom like the USA. Governments are used to attempt to regulate industry but also to control people.

One party line, one type of mental governing for everybody on the planet, so instead of the few controlling the many, it would be the few controlling everybody. Who is to say which ways to govern are really best? That doesn't sound like freedom at all to me.

What happens to those who do not choose to accept a singular world governing of their mentals? By the very definition of world government, those objectors people/nations would have to be forced into submission. Sounds like slavery to me.

I think the USA has an awesome foundation but things got a little screwy along the way to this point. We'll be better off without worldwide government, imo, working towards world government is like building our own(and our children's) prison walls.

Anyone have opinions on this?

"If you oppose one, do you not oppose all of them? They all are examples of our government taking away our freedom of choice, because our government knows best!"
Sort of but it's not quite so cut and dry.

"Helmet laws, seat belt laws, a law demanding that you purchase health insurance"
These are laws that interfere with individual freedoms. The idea of enforcing such laws on grown adults is offensive to me.

"laws preventing fast food companies adding toys to child meals, our government preventing the use of characters such as 'Tony the Tiger' in advertisements"
These are laws that limit corporations. I think most people would agree that placing limits on corporations is a necessary evil in today's world, especially when it comes to manipulation of children.

"laws forbidding restaurant owners from allowing cigarette smoking, proposed laws on higher taxation on food deemed unhealthy by our government"
Now these types of laws involve both individual rights and the privileges of businesses. I personally am against both of these but the public health concerns make them at least debatable.

Changing the subject a bit...

I like to know why no one on the Republican or Democratic side have proposed a buyout of Social Security for people who have been working full-time for 30 years or at the age of 50? For the Demo's I know the reason but why not the Repo's??.

Most people have retirement savings from 401k's at work or investments. (avg is about 200,000
I think).

You can do a buyout(for a 5 to 10% fee. One time tax) You don't get taxed again for SS because you have the buyout.

TF said...

Would SS buyouts break even the fiat bank?
10 trillion dollars if the 50 million people currently receiving SS benefits took a $200,000 buyout. If folks who haven't started collecting yet took a buyout then it could easily be $20 trillion or more just for them.

I think that people worked in the matrix and paid in to the social security system for most of their lives with the promise that when they started getting too old to work, they would be taken care of. Our society is to the point now where we can barely support our elders thanks to all the robberies of SS funds by politicians.

John said...

F,
My point was if SS is a issue why not offer a buyout to people who have been working a longtime. Why don't the republicans push this idea?? They believe in a ownership society and it gives people the freedom to deal with thier retirement or is this just a game?.

The money that one gets would vary and it would depend on your own retirement savings outside of SS. But it's your call.

T.F. said...

hn,
My points are: Where is the money going to come from to pay all of those people out?
What about the folks who take a buyout but then invest their money poorly? They'd be too old to work to support themselves. Does society just leave them homeless and starving?

And republicans push the ideas that they are told to push, just like democrats. It is a game, and most of us are just spectators.

My point is if the repo's are serious about the ownership society
and fiscal responsibility that they claim they are then why not do a buyout of SS for people over the age of 55?. If people invest their money poorly then that's on them. I believe most people that invest are educated on what they put their money in. (Ownership Society!!! or are the Repo's talking out of thier backside??)

But of course this is the JFiles

One way to pay for my plan is to go into the SS reserve fund. The Fed keeps 10% you keep the other 90%. They never can tax it again after the one time 10% tax.

Let me make this clear! Most people over 55 have retirement savings and this would be a volunteer program. This isn't a requirement that you have to do it.
I wonder if a buyout plan was put out how many and what percent would take it?. Why don't the repo's offer this?. I keep forgeting we are all in the MATRIX and this is the JFiles crowd.

The investment markets aren't exactly safe right now Fortunately, even the repubs are not cold hearted enough to hang the elderly out to dry like that, yet.

"I believe most people that invest are educated on what they put their money in. (Ownership Society!!! or are the Repo's talking out of thier backside??)"
Of course the repos are speaking rectally but many that I've read and heard are actually in agreement with you about Social Security buyouts.
The thing about investing is that when there is potential for profit, there is also potential for loss. As I recall, a whole lot of 'educated' people started losing money on their 'safe' pensions and investments due to 911, TARP, Enron, bad economy, etc.

"But of course this is the JFiles

Maybe you just hit the nail on the head there, politics as usual is "reality based", not actual reality. TV and other media admittedly censor reality all the time just to be "appropriate" and PC and to keep people safe and to not make certain people/places/situations look bad and and so on. The politicians admittedly do the same. They tell the people that they need to feel us up at the airport to keep us safe, like that's supposed to be reality, like a terrorist willing to hijack a plane wouldn't stick a bomb or a weapon up his ass. The money is not real, the debts, the credit, the economy, none of it is real. A state or a nation is not even real, they're just ideas that we have collectively accepted, existing only in our minds and on paper.
You don't have to be an AlexJones-type to see the games being played right now in politics. The average Joe these days knows that politics is mostly just mindgames, just pick someone who doesn't follow politics and ask them why they don't. Even the Southpark guys express a common sentiment pretty well in this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r23sMvXqjdY

The politically inclined are being polarized right now, it happens near election season. The myths are all around you if you listen to the so called "commentators" like Sean Hannity, Chris Matthews, Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin, Rush Lumbo, etc. They spread a bunch of crazy BS around until people get so angry and/or scared that they actually start to believe the BS. Last year it was "Tea Parties are racist" from the Giant Douches and "Obama wants to destroy America" from the Turd Sandwiches. This year we're starting out with a large dose of ignorant polarization. The latest BS, "those damn republicans won't compromise on a budget" and "those damn democrats won't compromise on a budget. One "side" or another's demands are NOT a compromise. The political public is focused on playing small-minded blame games, taking the spotlight off of the actual issues, business as usual. The fact is that the Legislators and President can't agree on a budget. They won't even pass temporary measures to ensure that soldiers, retirees, and other government dependents get their living allotments on time. It's more about judging and tearing people down than actually solving problems or dealing with issues in a realistic way. I learned a long time ago that some people will talk bad about other people in an effort to feel better about their own bad qualities. The giant douches know deep down that their poo stinks but they will claim that the turd sandwich's poo stinks worse, like that somehow makes their poo smell any better, and vice-versa. The people get shafted either way on compromises between stinky poo and less stinky poo anyway, it's poo. Welcome to the real world.

I seem to remember John Boehner voting for unfunded mandates like the war and Bush's medicare package
which went on the credit card. Yea

Ha! Yeah, politicians do stuff like that all the time. :)

Lets see where will I begin?.

Truth Fairy loves to point out about how screwed up the system is
and you know what?. He's right. I
don't disagree with him. This is
at times a sad state of affairs that we deal with day to day.

I tend not to throw my hands in the air and give up. A lot of americans haven't either. I might disagree with a lot of teabaggers
but I admire thier passion. I just wish they put the blame on the corporate elite,Fox News and the Koch brothers and quit being lackies for those groups. ( I will state them as the tea party when they quit refering to the health care reform act as "ObamaCare".)

I thought I gave a partial solution to deal with our issues with SS?. Funny the people I told my ideal to mostly conservatives are the biggest critics of my plan?. I wonder why?. Could it be they want thier SS and Medicare and that the outrage is really phony in nature.

I once said on WaveX that the new niggers on the block is the white middle working class. They the one's that Fox News, talk radio was geared toward. You say God,small goverment, get rid of welfare well you get a woodie from the white working middle class because it plays into thier sense of entitlement and that they are just like the Koch bros. I still stand by that statement!!!. I will be called a racist but well some people can't handle the truth about how the middle class is played against it's own.

You bet we are getting played by outside forces and the american people needs to wake up. But I deal in reality and not in the so-called matrix that you seem to live in and make excuses for your lack of doing something like getting involved in the system in small ways. Small steps can make a change happen just be prepared to lose but keep agitating for issues that you agree with and maybe you will make a impact.

Been on a politics break.

How am I supposed to believe that the folks in charge aren't trying to collapse the system? If they wanted to fix SS, then wouldn't they start by putting back the money that has been taken from it? It's not nearly as complicated as "they" would try to make it seem.

I'm feelin John a little on his point about the white middle class screwing itself.
It would be a very sad irony if these people who are bitching about other people on welfare ended up on the dole themselves one day because they were living on credit and their job got outsourced to malaysia.

The system, as is, does not work. I believe it needs to be drastically altered in many ways. If the plan is to decrease debt and despair nationally then we need to create wealth locally from the ground up, not sprinkle a bunch of fake money on top of problems. I say lets start with the tried and true by readopting the US Constitution and possibly even the gold standard.

I haven't given up, I still post shit here even.

Here is a left-wing Obama-lovin media source using the term "Obamacare":
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2011/01/health_care_myths.html

I think their outrage is real, they just don't understand what they are actually so pissed off about.

Dude, are you not paying attention? The new "niggers" on the block is pretty much everybody. When the rich white assholes in charge freed the blacks, they knew that they would eventually get the whole shabang with the new monsterously overpowering federal government.(see 'US Civil War' for more info) Yes, we are most all getting played against our own in this "country". Freakin Racist!

The matrix is perceived to be reality for so many, the ways that most of us survive and thrive are unnatural. Not real...in a way.

I do get involved in small ways and if there is one thing i can do it's agitate, without even trying :)

Buck Ofama! New puppet, same puppeteers. Where's my hope and change? The only real change I've seen is that we're even more hopeless. If you really care, then please learn about and support third, fourth, and fifth parties
