Drug companies have long kept secret details of the payments they make to doctors and other health professionals for promoting their drugs. But 12 companies have begun publicizing the information, some because of legal settlements. ProPublica pulled their disclosures into a database so patients can search for their doctor. Accepting payments isn’t necessarily wrong, but it can raise ethical issues:

Emergency department visits related to misuse of prescription or over-the-counter drugs doubled from 500,000 in 2004 to 1 million in 2008, said the report, based on estimates from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Drug Abuse Warning Network. DAWN generated the estimates by reviewing data and medical charts submitted by 231 U.S. emergency departments.
Illegal drugs such as cocaine and heroin were involved in 1 million ED trips annually, a figure that stayed flat over the time period.

It seems to me that the 2 stories would pretty much have to be related also.

Yeah, we want our MTJ!

I just started to re-listen to KKFI. How come Ben Johnsons's Paragon Radio is the only show left. What happened to the Justice File with you and Wavestation X with Anything evil genius?

If KKFI fired you, or you guys quit, yall should do an internet radio. Google Talkshoe. Even I have a radio show in there, and I suck at live talk. Here are 2 sites to start internet radio.

I went and saw "Warhorse" today and it is a great movie about WW1
and the perils of war and what it does to people.

At the time of the Christmas truce of 1914,everyone thought the war would end in a couple of days to month. A couple of good calvary
charges and the huns would go back across the border.

A complete total destruction of lives killing off the next generation of leaders who may have made the world a better place.

Total Waste!!! Good Post TF!!

"Paul is the only Republican who says he’ll bring home nearly all U.S. forces if elected,"

I think bringing all the troops home is a great long term goal but because of the situation that the US is in globally, blame it on who or whatever, the fact is that we need troops all over the world right now. If all our troops were home or in just one or two other places, then what would detur enemies from just bombing the US off the map? If say Iran or North Korea or whomever tried to blow up or otherwise destroy the US, even if they succeeded they would still have the most powerful military in the world to deal with and boy would they be pissed. I'd like to see our troops out of the warzones but we can't just bring them all home at this point.

I think we should examine our troop deployments overseas in Germany along with in Afganistan.
I think the Germans and Western Europe are capable of taking care of their security concerns.

As far as Iran or North Korea attacking the U.S. That is a "Fox News, Jack Bauer fantasy" that has no basis of reality. The moment they try to attack us then we will wipe them of the face of the earth. It would destroy their economies and will destroy thier countries.

Don't buy the hype that's put out by neo-cons because it is really a bunch of chicken-hawks sqawking!!.

"I think the Germans and Western Europe are capable of taking care of their security concerns."
I'm trying to say that because we do have enemies that we just shouldn't put all our eggs in one basket, or in this case all our military might in just one or even two geographic areas.

"As far as Iran or North Korea attacking the U.S. That is a "Fox News, Jack Bauer fantasy" that has no basis of reality. The moment they try to attack us then we will wipe them of the face of the earth."
You might have said the same thing about Afghanistan until 9/11.

"Don't buy the hype that's put out by neo-cons because it is really a bunch of chicken-hawks sqawking!!."
I hear that. Especially the talk radio neo-cons, the hosts and callers talk like straight psychopaths.

9/11 was a terrorist attack by a group that had refuge in a area that isn't a real country.(More or less a country in chaos) It's not like China,North Korea or Iran. Countries that would start a war against the U.S. The security issues are diffrent when it involves terror orgs. and they have to be dealt with in a realistic manner. The world economies are married together so if there is a global conflict it would prove to be a major disaster for all. This is the main deterent along with having the ability to destroy each other with nukes.

It looks like the REPO's are going to go with a venture capitalist who makes a living buying companies and gutting them and leaving working class people out in the cold.

Of course they are. They don't know what the hell is going on.

The pics of the candidates here are sweet. Newt looks pissed, Romney looks clueless, Ron Paul has a crazy shit-eatin grin, and Santorium looks like he might have a turtlehead pokin out.
